...information source?

Google...how could I live without Google?  Anytime I have a question, I google it.  If I need a recipe, I google it.  If I have a medical question, I google it.  If I'm wondering whether The Real Housewives of New York is on tonight, I google it.  Google is my go-to guru for everything!

...wedding ceremony music playlist

So it's not really a "my favorite", but I wanted to list the songs played at our wedding ceremony.  We didn't do the traditional "dum dum da-dum" music for our wedding - instead, we created a playlist of some of our favorite songs plus some fun songs about love that we played before and after to keep people entertained while they waited.

Here's what we played before and after the ceremony:

You're the one that I want - Grease Soundtrack
I'm a Believer - Smashmouth
Chapel of Love - Dixie Cups
Bubbly - Colbie Caillet
Fallin For You - Colbie Caillet
Fall For You - Secondhand Serenade
Down - Jay Sean
Forever - Chris Brown
Use Somebody - Kings of Leon
Say Hey (I Love You) - Michael Franti
Gotta Be Somebody - Nickelback
Bella's Lullaby - Twilight Soundtrack
At Last - Etta James
I Want to Hold Your Hand - The Beatles
Viva La Vida - Coldplay
I'm Yours - Jason Mraz
Like a Star - Corinne Bailey Rae
Open Arms - Journey
Love of a Lifetime - Firehouse

I walked down the aisle to A River Runs In You by Yiruma.
We walked out of the church to an acoustic version of Bittersweet Symphony by The Verve
During the ceremony, my sister in law sang Love Story by Taylor Swift

...dog

My dog, Bristol - she's a yorkie-poo (half yorkshire terrior, half poodle).  She's absolutely hilarious!

One ear sticks straight up, one flops over.
She skips about every 3rd step with her right rear leg when she walks.
Her tongue is uber-long and she licks.everything.
She is missing a bottom front tooth, making her teeth crooked.
She belches after she eats dinner.
Her nicknames include Nert, Nertigus, Squirt, PooPoo, and Bristie.

And here she is in all her glory:

...book series: Twilight vs Harry Potter

Yes, I'm a 25 year old who reads 'tween book series.  But you know what?  They're good, quick, fun reads and, let me tell you, addicting!  So which one wins "best series" in my humble opinion?

Both series are highly entertaining, offer a level of fantasy within its characters and plot lines, and have characters you can relate to.

The Harry Potter series has better writing, in my opinion, but Twilight has a more in-depth plot line with twists and turns, plus it's a love story.

So, who is the winner?

Can there really be a winner? I guess I'm leaving this one unanswered because I love both and really can't choose!

...crazy customer story

The company I work for rents out those big construction-size dumpsters.  A lady comes in one day to order one.  As she was writing out the check to pay for the dumpster she ordered, she pauses and says to me "If I die before the dumpster is delivered, will you cancel the order and refund my estate?".   Yep, not kidding you, that's what she said.  After the initial shock of what she said, I calmly say "Well, we've never had to handle a situation like that, but yes, I'm sure we would - but let's not cross that bridge until we get there."  How creepy...who talks says that?

Night by Elie Wiesel

AMAZING.

That's really all I can say about it - I'm left speechless after reading it.  It is just absolutely amazing.

Elie Wiesel is such a powerful, inspirational man.

...woman in politics

And no, that's not Tina Fey...

I find Sarah Palin to be inspiring.

You may love her, you may hate her... but I believe she has strengthened the role of Republican women in politics; she broke the mold of who the gneneral public thinks a Republican woman is.

I don't necessarily agree with her on every single issue, but I do think that it is inspiring to see a women speaking her mind and being influential, in a role that's traditionally male-dominated and in a political position that is typically viewed as old-fashioned, behind-the-times, or just a group of "good ole boys".  She's broken the glass ceiling for conservative women and I hope she's here to stay.
